Full-Stack Software Developer

Job description

The software side of OASYS was developed in-house and provides a convenient way of subsea automatic object detection. In order to expand the operations of OASYS to a wider market, the software suite is being developed in to a more generic sensor data acquisition system with a focus on automatic tracking and real-time data processing.

In order to do this we need your help! As a full stack developer you will work in a small and dedicated team, and you will be responsible for front- and back-end development and maintenance of the software suite. Tasks include the following:

  • Development of OASYS back-end software;
  • Development of OASYS front-end software;
  • Help to design and develop detection algorithms for offshore operations;
  • Analyse and improve the user-friendliness of the system;
  • Developing test suites.

What we ask

We work mostly with Python, but the most important thing to us is that you are able to learn a new programming language quickly. What we are looking for in a good developer is:

  • College or University education in Computer Science or comparable;
  • An analytical mindset;
  • A strongly developed abstract thinking capacity;
  • Enthusiasm and drive to work on all aspects of a software package;
  • Experienced in working with at least one of the following programming languages: Python/Javascript/C/C++;
  • Experience with advanced modules like Numpy, OpenCV, WebGL and AngularJS ;
  • Experience in setting up unit-tests and integration tests;
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Technical Support Mechanic

Job description

ECE offshore is specialised in survey and engineering for offshore flexibles (cables, pipes, and umbilicals). For the expansion of our business in renting out survey tools we are looking for a technical support mechanic.

In this capacity you are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and construction of various systems and equipment. In addition, you will be involved in the development of new systems, as well as the installation of systems on vessels. Your tasks include the following:

  • Assembly, construction and repair of mechanical systems;
  • Assembly, construction and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems;
  • Testing, calibration, and readying equipment for transport;
  • Work together with colleagues of different technical disciplines;
  • Subcontract and coordinate work with suppliers;
  • Document work progress and planning;
  • Quality control, workshop and stores management;
  • Document and track progress regarding maintenance, installations, and repairs;
  • Carry out and supervise installation works on site (in the Netherlands and abroad)

What we ask

  • MBO or HBO education (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent);
  • Familiar and skilful with mechanical systems;
  • Professional level of written English and Dutch;
